Toaster oven to smd reflow oven conversion since i put up my kickstarter page i have received a few emails asking about controlling a toaster oven using the laminator temperature control board. It uses controleo3 a 6 relay programmable reflow oven controller. Some component packages are very difficult or impossible to solder with a traditional soldering iron. As i get more serious into my electronics hobby i need to work with more smd components.

I looked long and hard and found that i didn t like any one iteration of the project so i did my own thing. Having got fed up of hand soldering smt components and being unable to afford assembly at a c e m i thought i would have a go at a toaster oven conversion. There are many such conversions on the web and most have their own design of external temperature controller. This is something i have been thinking about myself so i decided to buy an oven and convert it into a smd reflow oven.

The reflow oven build described here is fully capable of fine pitch lead free soldering at very high temperatures and can do it consistently and reliably. To solve this problem i decided to hack a toaster oven t. X toaster is a controller board designed to convert any common toaster oven into an smt reflow oven.
